New Jersey is also the shipwreck capital of the United States, making it a must visit destination for diving fanatics. Hundreds of artificial reefs line the coast, some formed on the hulls of sunken ships, others of our own creation.

The primary dedication point leads out from Ocean City, known for its 2.5-mile boardwalk first built in 1880, accompanying amusement park, and stunning views of the Atlantic coastline. Your party will board your own boat setting sail to the Undersea Memorial Garden, located 10 miles off the coast of Ocean City.

Upon arrival at the Undersea Memorial Garden, the Memorial Reef is placed into the sea. Once the Memorial Reef is resting on the ocean floor, fresh flowers will be provided to cast over the dedication site. We invite you to say words of remembrance and hold a religious ceremony if you so choose.
