In Islamic tradition, physical earth burial is the standard, required practice. Cremation is not permitted, and committing remains to the ocean is generally restricted.

The rare exception for a physical burial at sea is under exigent, emergency circumstances, such as when someone passes away on a ship far from land and the body cannot be safely returned to shore for a traditional grave.

Because our usual services are built around cremated remains, practicing Muslims cannot use our structures to house remains.
